Welcome Message
Care You Can Trust

Craigielea Care home has a long history of care through its association with the Gateshead Dispensary Trust, dating back to 1832 when the organisation was established to look after the local community in the days before the NHS. Presently, Craigielea operates as a modern care facility set amid beautiful landscaped gardens, housing up to 60 residents with a specialist dementia unit.

Treatment & Support

We develop a personalised care plan with each resident to ensure their physical, emotional and medical needs are met. These plans are implemented throughout every stay with the help of our carers, ensuring that every resident is healthy, happy and receiving the appropriate care so that you can rest assured that your loved one is in capable hands.

Thank you for your interest in our home, Craigielea.

Our aim here is to keep your loved one safe and secure in a loving environment maintaining as much of their independence as possible and continuing their daily lives in a home from home setting.

Personally, I feel that an open door policy is necessary in any home and I always encourage people to feel at ease to come and speak to me with any problems or even just for a general chat. I regard the care of our residents as paramount importance and do my very best to ensure they are cared for at no less a standard than I would expect for my own relatives.

We hope on viewing our home you get a feel for the work that we do to enhance the lives of our residents. If you have any questions regarding the home or the care that we provide, you are more than welcome to pop by - I am always happy to help!
